Art and Antiques in Berkeley Square

This year’s LAPADA exhibition had a rich selection of galleries showing art and antiques over several centuries from antique to up-to-date contemporary.   Already in the Square were the Rodin-esque statues of South African artist Dylan Lewis which provided a frontispiece to the main show.  Among the highlights in the Fair were the silver displays – some traditional centrepieces but also some art deco cocktail and cruet sets, 1960′s hip flasks for Goodwood and a 1970 ice/champagne bucket, contemporary ceramics with a Celtic influence by Heidi Ware, the self portrait by Jamie Salmon and the surreal sculptures of Robert Barley.
