New twist on an old technology could revolutionise air cargo transport

Its the modern version of the old Zepplin.   The Aeroscraft developed by Aeros in Southern California has many advantages over traditional aircraft – it can take off and land vertically, thus eliminating the need for long runways and it is far more sustainable, using only one third of the fuel of a normal plane.   The company believes that the Aeroscraft will not only change how we move commercial goods, it will be able to reach places that normal aircraft find difficult thus making humanitarian relief and military missions easier.
