LEGO continues to hold a position in contemporary life.  In Delaware, USA, students built a 112 ft tower, confirmed as the tallest LEGO tower in the world, 11 stories tall and ,ade of half a million bricks – I wish I had had that many when I was young.   In Windsor, UK, a 10-year-old boy who has raised thousands of pounds for charity since his mother died of cancer has been immortalised in Lego.  About 35,000 Lego bricks were used to build the statue of 4ft 6in Jack Covill-Lowndes, from Wainfleet, Lincolnshire
