The original railway hotel restored with contemporary style

Adjacent to the new King’s Cross Square at an enviable position between the two great stations of King’s Cross and St Pancras is the Great Northern Hotel, claimed to be the “original railway hotel”. Like many railway hotels, it had suffered years of decline and no doubt at some point there were thoughts of demolition, but today it has been superbly restored into a boutique hotel where guests experience some of the style that our Victorian ancestors experienced in the great age of railway travel.

The Daily Mail gave it an effusive review, including the fact that each floor has a larder well-stocked with goodies such as cake!
