New Cross in South London doesn’t know how lucky it is. The CCA’s current series of exhibitions manages to squeeze three different shows into Goldsmith’s new building. In the ground floor and lower level gallery spaces, the feminist photographer Alexis Hunter shows a substantial and comprehensive series of photographs around the theme of ‘Sexual Warfare’ while down in the huge central basement space a fascinating film by Oisin Byrne with Gary Farralley provides an insight into 21st century society, identity and sexuality across different drug-infused cultures.
Upstairs in the main galleries, the Estonian artist Kris Lemsalu, who has the most amazing website, has her first solo exhibition in London bringing new experiences to visitors who are asked to suspend reality with the blurring of life, nature and art to create new and different worlds.
