What do developers do if they want to develop in one of the world’s greatest arts and fashion district, in this case trendy Bond Street in Mayfair in London? Do they build a traditional plywood hoarding or do they do something more imaginative? The answer across the four buildings of 67 to 71 Bond Street is the project from Foxall Studio to commission four UK creative artists to add their own images to the existing old facades behind which development is taking place.
Make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench, fashion photographer Robi Rodriguez, textile designer and space animator Teresa Georgallis/Universal Assembly Unit and ceramicist Jin Eui Kim have filled the windows with images which celebrate Bond Street and its art and fashion heritage while reflecting across to the facades of the other buildings that are so characteristic of this part of London, thereby connecting the future with the past.
