The LSE has announced the shortlist to its international design competition for a new global centre for social sciences near to the Aldwych, at the heart of its campus. The competition was run by the RIBA and the projects were submitted anonymously enabling views to be sought from staff, students, governors and neighbours.
The interesting shortlist is Grafton Architects, Heneghan Pong, Hopkins Architects, OMA, and Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners. Surprisingly, O’Donnell & Tuomey, who won the competition for the LSE’s Student Centre, nearing completion nearby, didn’t make the list.
More information on the individual submissions can be found here….
