Goodbye to The Twelve Days of Christmas; hello to The Twelve Rebuilds of Christmas.
For guests staying overnight on 16th of November, Christmas came early when they woke up on the Sunday morning to find many areas of the hotel transformed with the imaginative joint initiative between LEGO and the Savoy Hotel, starting with a Dragon Shaped Christmas Tree, continuing inside with a Princess Rocket Castle, a purring catfish, an elephant hosing water across the fireplace and Santa’s hot New Wheels, leading to the treehouse with miniature scenes inside and carrots chasing rabbits, with a painted palace in the shopfront nearby, while outside is a shark in the Lalique fountain, monkey workers with their cranes around a huge banana and an image of a tea-drinking lion underneath a new LEGO pediment above the hotel entrance. Christmas has arrived!
Apparently around 373,000 LEGO bricks were used in creating these Christmas designs, while young designers are invited to join in on the Twelfth Day with ‘Build To Give’, where children can create their own Christmas rebuild and, for every one instagrammed, LEGO will make a donation to their chosen children’s charity – a great idea for children of all ages.
